Key Points from the Community Health Status Resource

• Housing: In 2015, 25.9% of households in the Middlesex-London region spent 30% or more of income on shelter costs, which is considered not to be affordable according to Statistics Canada. Across London this proportion widely varied, from less than 10% of households to more than 35%

• Food insecurity: In 2013-14, 3.7% of households in the Middlesex-London region were marginally food insecure, 6.9% were moderately food insecure, and 3.3% were severely food insecure. This corresponds to 13.9% of households with some level of food insecurity.

• Education: In 2016, 9.9% of adults ages 25 to 64 had not finished high school or completed other higher education
