Pets Are People Program - The number of families faced with euthanizing their furry family member because of a shortage of funds to receive subsidized vet care, preventing economic euthanasia: 23

Animalert helped fund vet care for 2 other animal rescue groups that help indigenous community dogs and 2 other rescue groups that help senior and/or disabled dogs.

Pets Re-Homed - Number of cats/kittens and dogs/puppies re-homed into new, loving homes (all were sprayed/neutered and fully vetted): 165

Animalert fostered companion animals short term for 2 women escaping abusive partners and 3 people hospitalized with health issues.

Rescued Animals: Number of animals rescued from kill shelters (in Quebec, Ontario): 20

  • Another 22 dogs/puppies were retrieved from Ontario puppy mills.

In partnership with No Empty Bowls Pet Food Bank, Animalert has helped about 300 families who are in need, providing food (close to 15,000 lbs.), litter, leashes, pet toys & accessories for their furry family members.
